NEW TIPS: Chisel Tip for bows that shoot 310 fps or less and the Speed Tip for bows shooting over 310 fps. The feet per second is what your bow is actually shooting, not what the IBO suggested speed is. We have found that 90% of hunting bows are shooting under 310 fps.
NON-BARBED MODEL:
Also new is our “non-barbed Switchblades for states such as New York, Minnesota, Nebraska and Massachusetts. These Switchblades were designed to have the ends of the blades travel toward the tip (90 degrees to the centerline of the ferrule) so that they may be considered “non-barbed”. Once the Switchblade strikes the target, the blades however are still locked in the open condition like the original, which is a great feature.
CROSSBOW MODEL: Everything that the non-barbed design offers but with a stiffer spring in the back of the body which guarantees your Switchblade will not “pre-open” in flight like other mechanical broadheads do. Pre-opening is never good since the flight of your arrow could be extremely erratic. The Crossbow Switchblade has been tested on crossbows with speeds at 405 fps without ever pre-opening on the way to the target.
